Technologies used
XHTML and CSS
This site conforms to the XHTML and CSS Recommendations from the W3C. Compliance with these standards help to make the site work with different Web browsers and across different platforms.
PNG images
This site also uses Portable Network Graphics (PNG) format images. PNG images are superior to the old GIF format images in many ways. To find out more about the PNG format, or to test if your browser supports them, go to the W3C PNG page.
The above "valid XHTML" logo is a PNG image. If it doesn't show up properly or images appear totally black, you'll need to fix your Web browser or use a different one (such as Opera or Mozilla).
SVG images
This site also uses Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format drawings. SVG is an open vector based graphics format.
To view the SVG pictures, you will probably need to install a SVG plugin, such as the Adobe SVG viewer.
Tools used
This site was built using transbuild - a tool I've written for creating and managing Web sites using XML and XSLT. Files were edited using the one true editor: emacs.
